    Vintage Hair and Beauty

As most of you know, Gav and I are tying the knot in August and we are having a 1940's/50's themed wedding.

I've had a look on t'internet and found a few vintage hair and beauty parlours in London but I would ideally like a hairdresser who specialises in vintage hair and make-up to come to me on my wedding day as I know I would find it too stressful risking getting stuck in traffic to and from London on the day.

    Any recommendations?

I have sent Gav a message via FB - but I recommend Natasha Hall (of Natasha & Paul fame SDF) she has her own busines and is based in London and she is very very good (I am sure you know her - or know of her, they teach lindy and shag)

The only person that lives every day dressed vintage is Melanie Bell - not sure if you have her on your facebook but she may well know someone. Give me a shout if you would like me to give her a shout for you

yup........ after years of nagging her, Mel has at long last joined the 40's scene, mind you she is all luv'd up and is SF with her man

Sam if you decided to go to Hep Cats they have hairdressers there - you can try them out AND Natasha will be there too (I will introduce you, if I haven't done so beforehand)

Fancy a day in Brighton ........

    Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair
    Sunday 7th November
Brighton Racecourse, Freshfield Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN2 9XZ

Following the success of this summer's Vintage at Goodwood festival, Judy and the crew are packing their suitcases and taking a trip to the East Sussex seaside! With over 50 stalls of quality vintage clothing and trinkets spanning six decades all alongside the mother of all tea parties, this promises to be one for the books!

Although officially open from 12pm, eager vintage enthusiasts can come to the racecourse ...and do the rounds from 11am for a special early bird price of £4, allowing those of you with an eye for designers such as Ossie Clarke and Dior to come snap-up the best designer bits and bobs before the other punters.
