Here is the "Who's Going Where?" thread for the weekend of 1st/2nd/3rd Oct 2010.
---------------------------------------------
How it works:
- Suggest events you personally are interested in attending, in the form "Day - Event - Location".
For example: "Sat - Dundee Monthly Party Night (Ceroc Scotland) - Bonar Hall, Dundee"- The moderators will put these suggestions into a poll - usually around Tuesday.
Note: The poll may include extra options without event details (usually called "Spare", "Space" etc.) which allow the mods to add events in order after the poll is created - but only if no-one's voted on them. So, please ...er... don't vote on them.- People vote, we can all see who's going where, and the indecisive amongst us can decide where to dance.
Note: no advertising: The forum rules about advertising apply - these polls are not meant to allow organisers / crew / friends to advertise events. The moderators will remove any such posts.

Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.

Haven't really managed it yet after lots of weekenders, but would suggest not going out til later in the evening, and sleeping all day (I can do the first, but am rubbish at sleeping in the day however little I've had at night). But if it's your first weekender, you'll want to do lots of workshops too - unless you drink a lot of energy drinks, or sleep all this week in preparation, you'll find you need to make a choice (less workshops/later dancing, or few workshops/knackered in the freestyles).
We normally go back to the chalet about 7:30 ish have something to eat and then have a sleep until about 11 and then go down about 12. I rarely do classes now though but often think about going but just don't seem to get there. Normally just get down in time for the lunchtime quiz.
The first time I went I did all the classes, which completely knocks you out and then probably only lasted to about 3am. I don't know if anyone does both classes and dance to the end to them if they do
I just love the atmosphere in the blues room in the early hours of the morning.
Hope to meet you there (but have no idea what you look like)
Friday - ModernJive Portsmouth Friday Fever at Portsmouth
Saturday - Dance Yourself Dizzy Black and Gold Ball at Winchester
