As always, what a great competition! I love the Scottish Champs. So relaxed and friendly and really good fun. Thanks for organising it, Franck and Sheena, and well done for raising so much money for such a great cause
Just a few pics of the trophies.
These were all hand made and donated by Michael Wadkins. Michael dances in Dundee and demos at the Wednesday Ceroc class.
He ended up missing most of the Competitions because he was finishing the trophies off. I don't think the photos do the colours of the glass, justice.
Michael's my hero

At the time of the prize giving, we had raised £3,00 from the competition and the pirate children, and their mum & dad (Dreadful Scathe), had raised £360 by selling their treasure of chocolate coins throughout the day.
The Tea Dance, with some incredible cakes donated by the dancers raised more money yesterday.
Final figure to follow.

Here's the gushy bit........
A HUGE thank you to everyone who took part in the weekend, both competing and dancing, and helped us raise money for the charity. From the Friday party to the end of the Tea Dance on Sunday. Every penny counts, right down to that extra £1 for another one of those fab cakes
The Champs Crew are an amazing bunch and work tirelessly over the weekend, from around 4pm on the Friday until 7pm on Sunday, doing everything asked of them, without a single moan. Thankyou all
Michael Wadkins, as mentioned above, for the amazing trophies
The children They always find a way to part everyone with some extra pounds. This year they were dressed up in a pirate theme. Thanks to Nik, Fi and Monica for their help with the children's costumes and for buying the chocolate for the children to sell.
The guest DJs this year Chris Uren and Steve Lampert, meant that Nix and I could get a few dances in. Also, Graham, who was guest DJ at the Tea Dance on the Sunday. Thank you guys, you were great
The judges, some of whom travel hundreds of miles to get to the event.
Fitness Fashion, Nix and Donna for the donations from their sales on the day.
The dancers in the competitions for putting on such an amazing show throughout the day The standard just keeps getting higher and higher.
Next year's competition will be our 10th anniversary! You don't want to miss that one...

Well done Tiger Pants!
Fabbydabbytastic day!!!!
Sore throat today, but definately worth it
Hats off to Franck and Sheena for a perfectly smooth day, cept' the jokes of course...
Massive well done to those who competed and a HUGEEEE congrats to those who won
Roll on next year - and of course the Welsh Champs not too long away!!!
Yes it was a great day and raised funds for a charity close to my heart. My friend who used the services of SAMH for many years suddenly died this year and throughout the day he was on my mind.
To the organisers and the competitors and of course the crowd. To my three partners on the day Fiona, Izabela (wasn't she lucky to get me) and Alan thank you all for putting up with me.
Fun and laughter all day but really was shattered this time. I think that intermediate final certainly took its toll!
Loved the music during the day and had a great time in the evening too....even venturing into the blues room for a little while
As FM says it is a friendly competition, perhaps THE friendly competition and I'll support it for as long as I dance.
See you next year.
My apologies, I forgot to thank the many prizewinners who returned their cheques

I really enjoyed most (when I wasn't competing) of the day! Thanks for the invite to come up and do some judging and DJing Miss Tiggerbabe. Looking forward to next years already
Playlist from the competition is now posted in the DJ forum.
