    How to leave a job

I don't think there have been many better resignations than this effort by Steven Slater. They mess up the chronology in the article, which is a shame.

A passenger dropped something on his head. He asked for an apology and the passenger decided to swear at him instead. So he got on the PA, swore back at the passenger. As the plan landed, he grabbed at least one beer, said that'd 20 years in the airline industry was enough. With that, he activated the emergency slide, said, "It's been great!". slid down to his car, and drove home.

That is, I suspect, unfortunately real.

    How to leave a job.

Step one you say we need to park
He stands you say sit down we need to park
    He glares dismissively at you
You smile politely right on through
He's got his suitcase on the flight
It hits you left as you dodge right
Between the aisles of rows H and I
You begin to wonder why you fly

    CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong I lost my head
Somewhere along the 12 hour flight
I could have served tea and coffee all night
But I knew how to leave a job

Let him know that you know best
Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past outstretched legs
    Your trolley bumping innocents
Lay down the rules on safety
the laws made by the FAA
And pray to god he hears you
And pray to got he hears you

Where did I go wrong I lost my head
Somewhere along the 12 hour flight
I could have served tea and coffee all night
But I knew how to leave a job

As he begins to raise his voice,
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Put the luggage back up top
Or have a silly little strop
He will do one of two things
He will go back to his seat
Or he will call you a motherf**ker
and you begin to wonder why you fly

Where did I go wrong I lost my head
Somewhere along the 12 hour flight
I could have served tea and coffee all night
But I knew how to leave a job
