I am going. Lots of the usual suspects will be there which may or may not be an attraction for you. No-one's been before as it is the first year in Manchester but I went to the same event in it's old location at Blackpool and it was a decent weekend - good mix of classes, comps and social dancing. Cheap for an event pass too and, prob too late now, but I got a Premier Inn room for 29 quid a night making it a v cheap weekend. It's actually a line dance and WCS event.

Having said that, I find it a bit annoying to have read the Swing Masters schedule only last week and find out that workshops start on Friday noon!

Like quite a few people who're attending, I can't get down to Manchester til 8pm at the earliest due to work commitments, so it means I'm already missing out on 4 workshops that Friday afternoon, conducted by Brennar & Tori, Robert & Deborah, John Lindo, and Paul & Cat IIRC

I realise the MIL organisers may not have been able to fit all the workshops for Saturday and Sunday as most previous WCS (and indeed Ceroc/MJ) weekenders have done, and had to shift some of them to Friday afternoon... but it remains an unusually early start to a weekender. Some advance notice would've been nice so I could've asked for time off a bit earlier... as it is, I just hope to be able to make it to the showcase(?) that Friday night and social dances.

It was just the same at last year's event which you also attended.
