    Dublin

I'm just off to Dublin working for a few weeks - any suggestions/recommendations while I'm there?

Guinness factory is a bit of a rip off but the view from the bar at the top is great on a sunny day

Take the DART out to Howth (north) - lovely harbour and nice walks up on the headland

And, if you get the chance and like the great outdoors, drive out to the Wicklow mountains (about an hour south) - Glendalough (with monastic settlement) is worth a visit and you could even go and visit Ballykissangel...

A stroll on Sanymount strand, or out to the Poolbeg lighthouse is a good way to get you out of the confines of the city without going far.
It may not still be going, but if it is, the Alamo at Blackrock serves the best deep fried ice cream I've ever had! (It may have moved to Temple bar.)
And don't forget to check out some of the statues while you're there:- The Tart with the Cart, the Floosie In the jacuzzi, and the P***k with the stick.
Plenty of lively theatre that's worth checking out too.

That's Monina isn't it? She taught the very first tango class I ever went to.

There is also Ceroc but I think its outside Dublin a bit.

Yes it is, but I have hired a car for the duration so I am mobile. I'm planning on going to Ceroc on Tuesday. There is also a drop-in Lindy class as well which I'm hoping to try out - it's been years since I've done Lindy, but as WCS has it's roots in Lindy I'm hoping that might help.

Thanks for input guys. I'll leave feedback if I have any.

I've just remembered the guy who runs jive classes in and around Dublin is on the forum he is Alan Doyle if you pm him he may be able to help. There is also Lekanhappyfeet, who runs jive classes but I think they are in Wexford. Have a great trip Mary.

Some of them come up to our freestyles, they seem a nice crowd. Hope you have a good evening. Must get down to one of their freestyles soon.
