Here is the "Who's Going Where?" thread for the weekend of 25th/26th/27th June 2010.
---------------------------------------------
How it works:
- Suggest events you personally are interested in attending, in the form "Day - Event - Location".
For example: "Sat - Edinburgh Freestyle (Ceroc Scotland) - St Stephen's, Edinburgh"- The moderators will put these suggestions into a poll - usually around Tuesday.
Note: The poll may include extra options without event details (usually called "Spare", "Space" etc.) which allow the mods to add events in order after the poll is created - but only if no-one's voted on them. So, please ...er... don't vote on them.- People vote, we can all see who's going where, and the indecisive amongst us can decide where to dance.
Note: no advertising: The forum rules about advertising apply - these polls are not meant to allow organisers / crew / friends to advertise events. The moderators will remove any such posts.

Saturday - Marc and Rachel's tango workshop in the afternoon at Rugby hen an Italian meal. In the evening the Rugby freestyle Saturdays don't get any better than this

This will be my first visit to Russia... I'm quite looking forward to seeing beautiful St Petersburg during White Nights festivities, and dancing WCS
Hi, I have just moved down to Beaconsfield, Bucks from the midlands, and I noticed there is a tea dance at Colston hall at Gerards Cross which is only three miles away for me, I just wondered if anyone has been there and what it is like. I will be coming on my own so I also wonder if they are a friendly bunch.
Well, I would say of course we're all friendly, but I am biased. So look at it this way. It's on your doorstep so there are no mileage costs. You might get to hear some good music you like, but don't expect music you would hear on a regular Ceroc night(it is a T-dance and it is FunkyLush). You probably get to have a few dances, but it's unlikely you will find beginners there (although you might!). You will have the opportunity to pig out on Mrs. Kenobe's wonderful cakes and help yourself to tea - a huge incentive. You can also buy some very beautiful hand-made greetings cards while you're there, or at least browse the stunning pictures.
To my mind, it's pretty much a win win situation - unless the other option is tea with the Queen, I hear she doesn't take refusal very kindly.
If you book in advance it's cheaper than paying on the door.
And no, I am not the commercial operator, just a very big fan.
So, see you Sunday then?
