Kudos to the person (man) who has told them that they have to run (bounce) up the stairs to the Tess Pit.

Unusually I am at home on a Saturday, so got to see SCD on the night. OMG Ann Widdecombe, far exceeded my wildest dreams on awfulness, I don't think I've ever cringed so much and hid behind my hands. I expect she'll be kept in by the loyal JiveLad Cartoon fans (I don't think even JL's excellent cartoons can justify another week of of Ann - but can't wait for the next one)

Good grief - you have to give Ann respect for getting the better of Craig, but if he did have a zero to give, I'd say she thoroughly earned it.

That said, you can bet she'll be kept in for weeks by people who see something I really didn't. I don't even find her entertaining, frankly, and Anton's really got his work cut out trying to make it entertaining.

I really enjoyed the programme as a whole and some of the contestants are looking amazing already!
My favourite of the night was Scott, closely followed by Pamela, Mat and Kara.

I don't think Gavin Henson came across very well, he seemed almost arrogant to me

Paul Daniels is just plain vile

And all the others are OK but didn't stand out to me.

    Great show though!

Perhaps surprisingly, I didn't. Not once. I did cringe several times though.

Like the comparison between Yoda and Paul Daniels especially with a big red lipstick kiss mark on his head

But thinking aboout celebrity in a more positive way; it is sad today to read of the death of Solomon Burke who has kept on working despite gross overweight and the infirmities which must have accompanied that. We dancers especially will remember him with affection.

He reminds me of a 12 yr old boy who's all excited because he gets to dance with a pretty lady. Also he just looks gormless..... great entertainment

Predicting (and hoping for) Peter Shilton to go*. Dancing is not for Peter. 'Stompy' was an appropriate moniker.

*(Despite being England's best ever goalkeeper - apart from Gordon Banks).

Well, watched the show. Obviously Ann should have gone, but it's not really about the dancing is it.

One comment though... Robbie Williams! What the hell was he doing? I think that he sang about 1/2 the song at most - certainly he didn't sing one of the choruses. He just moved around the stage in a way that was mostly unflattering! Still, at least the backing singers were there, cos as well as singing 1/2 the song, they actually sounded better than him too.

On that performance, he wouldn't make it past the audition stages of one of the singing shows! I'd love to hear Simon's comments about him if he was auditioning for x-factor!

    Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2010

Well as per usual, the worst people stay in thanks to the 'entertainment' factor, although not sure how Peter Shilton managed to stay in over Goldie.

I shall be mostly closing my eyes during Anne Widdecombe's next few weeks until the british public come to their senses and votes her out, and just hope that none of the people who actually have some dancing talent or potential don't get knocked out too early because of her.

(Personally I don't know how some of these celebs who are really awful don't feel bad or embarrassed about a) knocking other better people off and b) looking absolutely ridiculous).

Dear God, it was horrible wasn't it? Like some drunk tuneless uncle at a wedding. What an absolute load of old pants! I've seen one of his concerts on the telly and he always does that irritating thing of singing a few lyrics then expecting the audience to pick up the slack for him. So arrogant! I can't stand him.
