I think it is on record (ie on the Forum archive) that Karen Hardy is one of my all time favs (with a great back story)........and I would*

I rather like her, but hearing the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth sometimes rubs people up the wrong way - she'd already Brucie's "favourite", that's a low as it gets in dancing in Strictly
Miss W? Do you mean Miss W or Miss W? Here is Miss W in rehearsals today:

Rather up for it isn't she?

    * definitely do a cha-cha-cha with her......

    Miss Anne Widdecombe

IMHO there will be a huge John Sergeant effect from Miss W. According to the Daily Mail she's the only reason people will be tuning in to Strictly.

And who would I say "I would..."? Patsy Kensit

I missed it AND I forgot to set Sky+ but thanks to to joys of living in today's high-tech times, I've just caught up on iplayer!

anyway, I can see its going to be one of those programmes that needs to be recorded and watched back mainly on FF

But seeing as the guys on here are all swooning over the ladies

I'll give my first impressions of the new guys ....

Jared Murillo - he looks like a little boy
Artem Chigvintsev - Hmm, not a bad first impression
Robin Windsor - Phwoar... he'll do!

    'Couple' of things:

    1. Karen Hardy - and then I noticed that she is Sponsoring this Forum (see the ad for a free 25 min lesson at her studio at the bottom of the page). Good!

    2. I prefer 'the other' Miss W: ie Michelle Williams. She seems happy, a bit wild, and full of spunk - and I predict will be hard to beat. Only things is.........isn't she American? Can any nationality join in our comp. - if they happen to be passing thru'?

    3. Was the new American pro dancer a Swing champion? WCS?

WCS and Latin I think, both with Lacey Schwimmer.

As far as nationality, Mel B was on DWTS already, so there's precedent (+Martina Hingis last year, of course).

However, the evidence is that being a foreigner is probably not going to help you get the votes (AIUI, Mel B was probably the best dancer on DWtS that year, but didn't get the votes, while of course Martina went out first week).

Combine that with how her 'American' self-promotion is going to go down with the Strictly audience that seems to have a real problem with women aggresively wanting to do well, and I think she'll be one of the most unpopular contenders.

(Certainly Bryony and I were cringing at her this week).

Yes - a good analysis of the situation. From the rehearsal film yesterday she looks like she will be a good dancer though - and shame if she is booted out due to being American. My prediction is that she will be in the last 6 at least......

Interestingly, I was cringing much more with Pamela and will be totally 'cringed' when Bruce interviews her husband. Please no!

    Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2010

I've just had some exciting news

Today, my Salsa (non partner dance) teacher left to go round the world and as of next Thursday, we've got one of the 'strictly come dancing' choreographers taking his place! Woo hoo!

I met her today, as she came to join us for Marcos's last lesson, to get a feel for our standard and what we're used to

Her name's Missy and already she was dishing out 'inside info' about whats going on

Apparently, they're really pulling the out the stops for Michelle Williams, they've already flown her personal favourite choreography over from the states, to give critique and help polish her performance.

It wasn't really the time or place to 'grill her' today, as it was a leaving party but watch this space.. as she seems like to type who won't need thumb screws to dish the dirt!

So I'm enjoying watching the show, but... do they have to MURDER all songs like that ??? I didn't watch much the previous years, did they always have their own band for all performances ? It really is ruining it for me...

Oh, I really enjoy the live band.

Ann was funny tonight when Craig was giving her grief about her performance.

"If you think that was bad, you should see my Salsa!"

Good one Ann. Can't wait to see you balls that one up next week.

Oh and what a coup getting Robbie and Gary singing live on the show! Gary Barlow is looking hot isn't he? He's another one that gets better with age.

My favourite so far, apart from Ann for entertainment value, is guy that used to be on Blue Peter who was on last nights show. He's definitely got it going on.

I see Alesha is doing a marvellous job of patronising everyone again this year. GET OFF MY TELLY ALESHA!!!!
