There have been some in the past - about 5 yrs ago I think was the last one. But same prob as with Skeggy; its a massive complex and jivers would never fill it (it holds about 5,000) which means we'd have to share with muggles or as in the case of the last one there, with a 'boogie nights' weekender. The boogiers were in the majority so they had the main room and we only had one smaller venue.

High standard of accom (incuding a very good 4* hotel) but also very spread out (long walks) and more expensive than Pontins etc
Franco use to do Butlins Bognor went myself and know I wouldn’t have gone again for reasons stated above.

I was talking about the new posh complex .

What I always want is choice and lets hope John ,Wes and anyone else out there continues to provide that.

Although I realise I tend to follow the herd which is kind of sad.

Nothing wrong with that. In fact, I'd say it's what I miss most about any non-Southport venue and that's that Friday afternoon feeling you get when you go into the blues room and instantly see at least 50 faces you know.

In fact, I'd say a lot of people do the same and may be one reason why numbers were down at Skeggy.

I thought both Jake and Teletha done well in learning MJ just so they could dance with non WCS dancers. If it was a Jive you had with him, it would be unfair to assume it would be amazing as it is not something he has done before or for a very long period of time

Sorry, but I think we can all tell the difference between being 'half arsed' and being a beginner at something

A little unjustified .... The man had been up teaching classes and dancing with people since 11am. Yes he was a little worn out by 1am the following morning but he never refused to dance.

You might argue that folk would prefer not to have a dance at all if he was so knackered to the point of falling asleep. One thing's for sure...You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. I suspect there would be complaints that he didn't dance with the punters if he'd done the sensible thing and gone back to his room for a rest.

    True.

He had ladies queing for 30 mins to dance with him, standing at the edge of the dance floor. There was no way he was getting out of there to get some
