I reckon the igloo if its back
If the igloo is the same as the one at storm then i didn't even enter it lol i was too busy dancing
At the weekender i have attended the meet has been the chill out zone (they dont have a blues room at brean or camber) i used the word blues room as a lot of people refer to the COZ as the blues room at these places. People dont need to just hang about waiting for a meet they can get on a dance talking to others as they turn up it just makes a focal point and time for people to meet up if they want to
You're in for a treat Martin. The usual course of events regarding Forumites at Southport is that everyone seems to congregate at the bar area on arrival for drinks, gossip and a few afternoon dances. Folk usually go back to their chalets in the evening then back into the blues room on Friday night...that's where you'll find the majority of Forumites, in fact, when I go I never venture into the main room or anywhere else for that matter as the blues room is so fantastically located that everywhere else is just blah.
You'll have an amazing time, I'm gutted I won't be there. Maybe next year.
Unfortunately to get there (if you drive) you have the M25 & the M6 to contend with
The AVERAGE time for me to get there is 7 hours, the last 2 trips took TEN hours.(I live on the South Coast)
We used to have a "stop-off picnic" on the M6 which helped, but this stopped happening for lack of support.
Sadly, I will not be there, as much as I love it, I couldn't fancy another 10 hour trip, especially on my own

Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
I will be there, if I can find a man to book with!
I agree, but because the igloo (which I like) would separate everyone from the rest of the dancers. The Blues Room is the best place .

Just checked the weather forecast fro Southport this weekend, looks like it's going to be nice and warm (not too hot) and will stay dry for you.
Have fun guys, I'll be thinking of you while I'm doing a 25 mile hike in the South Downs with Gav. What was I thinking?
Igloo according to the booklet appears to be closed Fri evening which is a shame it was my little paradise last time. For anyone who doesn't know what it is bring your Ipod and you can plug it in and play your playlists, good for those who want to do sack the DJ but dont get a slot. We had some magical times in there last time.
I'll be lurking on the dancefloor so will look out for forumites heehee x Theres also the big spacehopper party in the quad, I think there'll be plenty of forumites there.
