    "Aw, snap" Chrome + Mac

I've been using Chrome for a while now and like it but for the past couple of days (since various system updates) I keep getting the "Aw, snap" message

First thing that happens is, it just seems like a webpage is taking a long time to load, then the "aw, snap" message telling something went wrong and would I like to continue waiting for the page to load, or kill the page. I've tried waiting but it never loads

I looked at the Chrome help site and it seems to suggest it might be to do with anti virus software but as I'm on a Mac, I don't know what to do

    Any suggestions?

Yep, I've given up and doing just that!

I'm only really missing the way Chrome remembered all my passwords etc. I'm sure Firefox used to but I must have done something to disable this and can't remember how to do it again
