P.s. it doesn't matter if its fallen apart and needs to be pieced together
Has anyone got any old damaged photo's that need restoring?
I need one to practice on
For example, something like an old family pic of Granddad in his war uniform etc.
I wouldn't need the original, just a high resolution scan will do!
Thanks in advance

Oh, which reminds me (for those who photoshop things)
Have a look at Kevin Kubota's site. He sells a whole load of actions that make editing everything in photoshop and Lightroom a whole lot easier. The LOTR effect is worth the purchase price alone. I use it for portraits and the wedding shots.
I have loads.............. will bring a few to Camber

This is my Great Uncle Leonard Cohen - he was killed in a Lancaster bomber coming back from a raid on Liepsig on 20th October 1943. Lory very kindly "spruced up" this photo of him for me. My Mum will be very pleased. Thanks Lory.

Good for you. Many actions available are 'just' a levels or curves adjustment, although levels is much, much safer to use, so your photograph is less likely to look over-photoshopped. Unfortunately, so many people shove on an action to have it look more 'professional' (whatever that is ) and it is harsh and doesn't do anything for the original. It's also why there's a really good argument for always keeping a set of your originals, unadjusted (whether as raw files or another format). As your PS skills get better, you can return to the original and get more from it.
A great thing to do once you have the basic exposure right is to look exactly where in the image needs adjustment and then select that area (with the lassoo perhaps set on something like 200pixels, so the selection is not obvious) and work with it in levels to adjust contrast and exposure.
