I would like to wish you a speedy recovery and a lovely Christmas. Best Wishes
I've been ill since the start of September with postviral fatigue syndrome brought on by swine flu. In all that time I've been unable to do much of anything, particularly energetic things. I've gone along to local dances (when someone else was driving) just to socialise, but even that wore me out.
Tonight was a milestone. Not only did I manage to drive to a dance (my wife drove us home), but I actually had enough energy to dance twice for the first time in nearly four months. To say I'm happy would be an understatement! I'll probably pay for it in the morning, but it was so worth it.
I would like to wish you a speedy recovery and a lovely Christmas. Best Wishes
if you love the life you live then you'll get a lot more done
That's great - you have my sympathies, I suffered from chronic postviral fatigue syndrome for a while around the time of my A-levels and into uni. I couldn't have imagined then that I would be going out in the evening at all let alone dancing! Hope you make a complete recovery soon
Thanks, both. I'm feeling quite rough today, but it was worth it!
I'm really pleased for you!
Its funny, I was just chatting to a friend yesterday and we had both remarked that, although we'd both heard about a few friends taking Tammy-flu etc., neither of us had heard of anyone who'd said it was 'terrible' or had had any lasting effects but it looks like we spoke too soon, your symptoms sound awful
I hope your not the first of many

Good. I hope that continues to be the case for the majority.
When I had swine flu I wasn't too bad for the first few days, but then it hit me like a ton of bricks and I have never been so ill. To be left with postviral fatigue syndrome sounds terrible, but compared with some of the alternatives, it's not that bad. After all, I am alive. Plus I'm slowly recovering, even if it is a long-term process.
And I managed to dance yesterday
It will be good to have you back.
I'm not sure whether to say "take it easy" or "keep at it". Just do whatever gets you back to normal in the fastest way
