Who can't get to work today (18th Dec)

The boss rang this morning and said don't bother coming in - the roads are too bad, especially the side streets

    Anyone else at home today???

I walked 5.5 miles through the snow this morning and more snow was falling for about half the way. It was quite a pleasant walk but it did take 90 minutes.

We had a couple of snow showers last night in Belfast but it's all clear this morning, actually a very nice sunny winter's day.

It was my last day at work until Jan 4th yesterday anyway, so I stayed in bed with Terry Wogan this morning, for the very last time. (miss you already Terry)

Gav decided to work from home rather than battle his way into town by car and tube and the kids school is shut because of the snow, so we're all at home and it feels very Christmassy. Me and the kids will be making mince pies and sausage rolls this afternoon.

Other than snow and ice in my road this morning my drive into work was more pleasant than normal.

Had to walk from Aldgate East to Mile End and back again for a meeting and it is freezing with lots of ice on the pavements, just thawing out with a cup of tea now

Ian (hubby) went out for a christmas drink in St Albans last night. He left the bar at 9.45pm (not very exciting party obviously ) and got home at 5am! It should take about 80 minutes!

How did Gav (and Mrs Wogan) feel about this? (Is that why he had to retire?)

Somebody had to .... and LL is at work.
