p.p.s. I notice that CJ has not ticked "skirts"
it's all that blues dancing - you get used to fumbling around in the dark with your eyes closed, relying on touch rather than anything else: knew it had to be useful for something
Items I pack that aren't on the poll:
Shoe brush
Paracetamols
Can of Red Bull
Ibuprofen gel
Fan
..............and cooling foot spray
Am I the only one who just has a bag (well, a box) with shoes in?
Used to be a big bag, many shoes, many tops, plasters, safety pins.
Now it is, for regular class nights, a towel, a big bottle of water and a hankie in the pocket to wipe of extra moisture during the class time.
Spare tops are kept in the car should they be needed, along with the plasters and safety pins.
The venues I go to, supply underarm sprays, hand cleaning stuff. I have worked out, I really do not need my mobile phone with me when dancing.
As to shoes, I wear RM's (RM Williams boots) leather soles, rubber heal. I find I can now cope with any surfaces with these (and they can be worn to the venue).
Some of the stuff on the poll list plus:
Ear plugs
Scissors
Nail file
Keyring torch
Pen and Paper
Toe tape
Wet Wipes
Tissues
Hand sanitising foam
PS: I'm amazed how many people take safety pins. What for? Are they just in the bag from competition numbers, or in case of some sort of clothing mishap? Has anyone ever actually used one?

remembered another item that I keep in my dance bag this weekend as it was needed
Glue - the sort that is suitable for sticking soles back onto shoes
Am intrigued to learn that some people pack golf balls in their dance bags. Am I missing a trick here?! Please let me in on the secret!
