    Endowment policy selling

Does anyone have any experience of selling an endowment policy or can anyone recommend a company that buys them?

    Re: Endowment policy selling

Best to shop around or sell around I suppose, I dont know the details of the policy, but if it has been going for over a year I would recommend not selling ,since these policies are front end loaded ie all the admin fees are taken out at the beginning so cash it in early and you get stung, so my advice is
    1 dont sell it.
2 if you do "shop around, use google I'm sure if you go to a large reputable company you can get a better deal than the one from the company you it out with.
    good luck
    Nick

The policy I'm thinking of getting rid of has been going for 15 years. But it would be worth more than it's current surrender value if I'd just put the ££ in an account that paid no more than 2% interest!

So, at risk of throwing good money after bad for the next 10 years I think it's time to chuck it!

It might be a better option to make it paid up, that way you don't need to pay anymore into it but you wont lose any money. Most endowment policies only make money in the last few years. And then at the end of the time you still get a nice windfall.
