    Ceroc storm

Anyone know when the lineup is done?

Website says 2009 lineup rather than 2010

Not sure, but it would be really helpful to know in advance of booking given that weekenders sell out so quickly now (at least for single females).

Last year they let everyone know when booking opened, who the guest teachers were going to be and what the main dance 'theme' apart from MJ was going to be, but for 2010 there's still no information about whether these will again have a WCS or AT theme - so I'm holding off booking as I want to know before booking for this and/or the standard jive weekenders.

Does it really matter what the lineup is?

Does it really matter what the theme and who the guest teachers are?

If you like weekender's, book it.

If you don't book it, you will wish you had.

Turn up dance, eat, sleep, repeat, go home.

Repeat whole thing as many times as you possibly can annually.

It does if you want to do workshops, especially if there are several workshops following a particular theme (tango/wcs etc.).

Most people can't afford the time and/or money to do all of them though, so some information helps people choose which weekenders to go for.

Fair enough as I don't do lessons and don't really care who the headline act is, I just go to dance and dance and dance.

Davidy The Dashing Moderator you is the voice of sense and reason. I sometimes forget that people do lessons and take the technical side of dancing seriously.

Wish it was that easy, but having a non-dancing OH I can only really get to so many weekenders a year. And a Feb one isn't great for me, so if it had a WCS theme like last year I'd be more likely to book, whereas AT doesn't do it for me. So wouldn't want to waste another weekender where I'd get more of what I wanted.

    Otherwise I'm with you!

There is not usually any particular theme for Storm or headline teachers but I have never had a bad time at Storm .

The only thing you could do if you want particular classes is to book now whilst available and sell your places on if you change your mind, because as females if you don’t book early you miss out

I'm already booked for Storm - we always. It's the Southport ones I was referring to as 2008 they had specific themes & guest teachers that were mentioned as booking opened. So I need to tie in potentially which of these I go to before booking the standard other ones.

I think it would be helpful for everyone.

But for single females it is usually a hopeless case.

For single males however; I think Bliss may well have been the only weekender in the last couple of years where it was necessary to book before knowing the schedule.

Ceroc have been pretty good about getting a schedule up well in advance in the last year or two.

So it is surprising to have no information at all.

This is true. As Ceroc weekenders vary so little, a single guest teacher won't usually make much difference.

In some circumstances well advertised themes may attract different people.

But for that the theme needs to be advertised well in advance (which isn't the case here).
