To dance

Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
In the first instance it was just another way to be active....then it became the love of dancing.....and now it is the music, the dancing and the social side of things all rolled in to one which make it so addictive......
Go to the thread Weekender's what's all the fuss about?
My post no 116. That's why.

I get paid to?
To get to the other side!
to make my soul sing..
To start with it was to tag along with a friend who wanted to go and also try something different to salsa.
Then it became a handy exercise tool (dancing 3x a week meant no time to go to the gym).
Now, it's to dance - to get that buzz and adrenalin rush, enjoy the music and meet up with friends.
DTS, been on to look at your thread but for somereason it keeps saying internet explorer not working.
Largely unsurprising - if with such a self-selected sample.
- I'm looking at this when there are 15 different people that have replied
- 13 of those people have picked 'enjoyment' as an answer; 6 picked enjoyment as their only answer
- The two people who don't dance for enjoyment people picked 'other' as their only answer; no other answer was picked as the only option
- 4 people picked all the options. These four were the only ones to select 'to fill in your week'
To summarise: if you had to pick one reason for why people dance, enjoyment is the best answer (but it's not true for everyone). But in reality people dance for a variety of different reasons and most people can think of several reasons why they dance and for a majority, enjoyment is only a part of the reason.
A more interesting question might have asked, "what do you enjoy about dancing?" That presupposes enjoyment, but digs deeper. I'd expect even more varied answers to that question...
Where's a geek when you need one.
Any of you square jawed, barrell chested, clean living, God fearing, non smoking, teatotalling geeks care to step up to the plate here, To assist a damsel in distress?

I'm sure there's a niche business opportunity in this. When you need technical assistance you book a buff-geek (oxymoron?) to come round and fix your computer/internet-connection etc etc.
Someone's already done it for cleaning help, I read about it in one of the womens weeklies a few months ago. You book a male or female cleaner to clean your home. They turn up, strip off, and then clean your house, in the nude ...........while you watch to make sure they don't 'miss a bit'! I think they were called filthy clean cleaners, or something like that.
