TEST Thread: Squelch 2010 Chalet Share Search

Why don't you ask the powers that run this board to put a sticky up or make a new category in Social to find a man to share with. Allowing at least forumites to book with someone they may vaguely know or who someone they know may know (cue extended descriptions gag).

We've been thinking about this, and one very good idea (Lory's! ) is to use a poll.
So here's an example of how it might work. We'd be very grateful for feedback...

This is the Chalet Share Search thread to help you find someone to share with at the Squelch weekender (38-40th February 2010).

Men can help women who would otherwise be stuck on the waiting list and need to find someone to book with. For this particular weekend, you can also save 33% by booking as a gender-balanced group (terms and conditions apply) if you book early enough.

How it works:

1. Vote on the poll to indicate who you want to share with
2. If you want, you can also post on the thread to say a bit about yourself and details of your booking if you already have one
3. Contact people you're interested in (via PM)
4. Once you've found someone to share with, please use the "Withdraw Vote" option and change your vote to the "All Sorted Now" option, to make it easier for others
5. If you're looking for more than one person, you can change your vote as you fill places. You can also vote more than once if you're looking for a mix of people.

Note that this thread may be moderated more heavily than usual to remove off-topic posts and make it easier to use.
