Exclamation Looking forward to the punters' benefits of Ceroc

Well, it seems Mr MacGregor may be almost psycic -- although Bisley Jivebug will keep trading as Jivebug -- it seems that:

Fleet Jivebug (and MJC) == CEROC
(as per Simon's anouncement yesterday, that he's hoping to become a franchisee, teaching Cerocplus Lindy Hop)

So, as a dancer/jiver for 10 or so years, I'm really excited about the new benefits that CEROC will bring --- perhaps people might care to enlighten me on the new advantages we might see(*).

    Neil.

(*) bearing in mind that Nigel+Nina won't be teaching now, and Jules won't be demoing.

    Wink

I agree! Have danced at Fleet quite a lot & have heard from others that go that they may not go any more ! The reason ? They taxi etc at other venues & so don't feel welcome at Ceroc venues. I know that this could start a HUGE debate, but hey, that's what a forum for, isn't it ?

Mr. McG is not psycic, a lot of us knew but it was for Simon to announce it not for it to be 'leaked' on this forum, but that's history.
Fleet is a great venue because simon makes it so - Ceroc will not alter this, he will keep his team and with Ceroc hopes to make it even better.

Non ceroc venues would not like it if their dancers went to CEROC that is a new twist, I cant imagine anybody not feeling welcome at any Jive Bug venue whatever banner it is wearing.

Hope loads come to the Christmas party on Thursday

    Visiting Instructors

One potential benefit would be if the CTA could put together a cadre of their top teachers to offer as a viable alternative to N&N etc. If a venue can't use N&N, Viktor etc., the CTA need to give something comparable. There are some very talented teachers in CTA ... but they need to develop their visibility and experienec to be able to compete head to head with the current A list.
