Well, I managed to watch the whole hour long result show, in a record 12 minutes this evening, after i'd FF'd all the stuff I'd either seen before or thought was rubbish! I think Bon Jovi lasted about 20seconds before my finger found its way to the controller!

Not sad It frees up your life, so you can watch stuff when YOU want to watch it and it also remembers to tape everything, unlike me!

    Re: The X Factor

Bon Jovi were really boring. They should've played one of their big hits from the 80's, no ones interested in the boring crap they come out with now.

I think the Prince look-alike (can't remember his name) really over-played the "I'm so sad because you compared me to Hitler" facade. He got the sympathy vote from the public, but he could've smiled....at least, you know, once or something. I think he's a babe, looks wise, but a bit of a wet blanket otherwise.

As for the twins, so awful you just have to watch! I'm glad they're still in, it would be boring without them. Apparently Simon Cowell said he'd leave the country on a very fast plane if the twins won. I think that's his cunning way of making sure the public keep voting them in...he knows they like to see him eat his words and he also knows the twins make a good show because they are so awful.

Aren't the winners guaranteed a £1,000,000 recording contract with his record label, or something like that No wonder he's thinking of leaving!

I can't believe Simon wimped out again tonight! Lucie had real talent and those freaky twins have stopped being the novelty act for me and are just annoying me again.

    Grrrrrr!

Dear oh dear.I do enjoy watching all the talent that gets discovered on the XFactor. There is always going to be some injustice in the voting as it is done at he moment but tonight just took the biscuit and I have to say it really wound me up.
Young Lucie should never have been in the bottom 2 and should never have lost to those twins.
Simon Cowell should be ashamed of himself.

Simon has been rubbishing the twins for weeks and when it comes to it, he produces the biggest cop out since my 5th wedding

In fact its not really a cop out but a cynical attempt to get more press , viewers for his show.

Simon im sorry mate I wont be coming to your 51st birthday party.

    Role on next week

I don't know what all the fuss is about. John and Edward are the best thing since pirates.

    Re: The X Factor

gah, its a bit annoying when someone so blatetly lies - qw are told that an act in the sing off is judged purely on their performance, not to mention the constant reminders that it is a singing competition ... for Simon to then actually vote for John and Edward to force the public vote to be taken into account - its just silly. Stupid TV i can do without*. How does he expect x-factor to be taken seriously as a singing competition ? is it purely about the viewing figures ? sadly, it seems Yes! I still like some of the singers but Im not going out of my way to watch the xfactor any more. I do have a back catalogue of films to watch after all - "Watchmen" at my house next Saturday - directors cut on blu-ray. sweet!

    * was anyone else annoyed by Lucy taking on Stacey Solomans mannerisms in the interviews the last 2 weeks? that cant have helped her get votes

    I'm amazed!

Simon usually voices 'my' opinion but tonight, he let me down badly!!!

I'd have bet my bottom dollar that he'd have voted the twins out and thought all that faffing around, he was just trying to add a bit of suspense and drama

    but OMG NO

He's gone right down in my estimation!

what a let down, Simon knew the boys would win the public vote, he needs that for interest in Xfactor in the media, so his vote he did that for business not for the real talent in Lucie. When she did the audition I had tears in my eyes from that song, I thought she would make the last 4!! But as soon as I knew who was in the sing off, it was so obvious the way judges voting would go and Im sorry Simon you leave me

Seriously, the guy is a greater manipulator of the GBP than I'd previously given him credit for. He knows that the twins bring in a bigger audience - so he's obviously going to keep them in.

He must know the audience voting figures - after all, he controls the whole show - so all he has to do is announce Deadlock, and then the audience only have themselves to blame if Jedward remain!

And, of course he knows that those people who care enough to join a FB group to boycott X-Factor will find it hard to follow through. What? Miss your favourite show? Meh! Simon will watch the ratings go up & up as more people tune in to find out what all the fuss is about...

    ....Ker-ching!
