Made some last year, I can't recall the recipe, but it was one found online. It took a lot of time and effort but tasted fine. Next time I won't use the left over brown sugar from the cupboard, the colour left a lot to be desired!
I've been told to wait until after the first frost before picking the hips, though I don't know why this makes a difference.
Does anyone else remember using the hips for itching powder as a kid?
