Maybe it's post-coital?
Seeing this
http://www.ceroc.uk.com/latest/fresh...town-hall.html
I see they have a Utopia room and a Milonga room
I understand what they are
A 'Milonga Room' is for looking into but passing by.
A Utopia room is for dancing in until you get the 'what the f*** is this' and go elsewhere to dance.
What's a Euphoria room ? It says 'fast funky and energetic'. So is it just ceroc music of the 90s with a bounce ??
ps how can you ever get into a zone with blues, west coast , soul and R&B all being played in one room ?? (Utopia)
Maybe it's post-coital?
What I mean by 'zone' is for example they are playing a few Blues songs and you just begin to get mellow ie 'zone into it', they then play Bat Out of Hell takes you out of the 'Zone'.
There is no such thing as Tango music or Hip Hop or anything else but most people would know if there was a piece of music you could Tango to.
Of course they is west coast swing music like there is line dancing music
If your talking 'genere's ' of music then yes Tango and Hip Hop are a type of music as is Blues, Salsa and Rock n' Roll. All of which are also dances
Modern Jive and WCS are not generes of music, nor is line dance.
These dances can be done to any kind of music and are not limited to a set musical genere like salsa, blues, tango etc.
When you dance 'blues' you are just dancing a type of jive to a type of music you are not actually dancing 'blues' per se
I would be interested in hearing what you think you can 'blues' too and not WCS too and Vice Versa
I'd be interested in seeing you dancing WCS to Xmas Prison Blues by Seasick Steve, and maybe something by one of the greatest Blues artists of all time, John Lee Hooker.... how about Ramblin' By Myself. If you get someone to film you dancing WCS to these tracks Lee you could post them onto YouTube so we can see how it's done.
OK. We gave it a go last night. I had to wait untill one of my class nights as I don't have the room at home. Freestyled it and it wasn't too much of a problem other than the song was not really my taste. Had to dance to the Seasick Steve one as I had that album and song but couldn't get hold of the JLH one with the time I had.
Will get the vid up when it gets put on youtube (wasn't my camera )
In return I want to see you dance blues to Boom Boom Pow by The Black Eyed Peas
I never said that I could dance Blues to anything did I? In fact I would say that there are lots of tracks that are completely unsuitable for Blues
However, if you come to Sara White's this weekend, you may hear it as it does get played there sometimes at the start of the evening on a Sunday. It's one of those tracks that I can't sit out
 I dunno... could give it a go.. it may be "unsuitable", but that don't mean it's "undoable"
<listening>... in fact, boom boom pow is not even 'unsuitable' for blues.... unsuitable for MJ perhaps...
