Who's Going Where? Events At Christmas and New Year's Eve 2009

Yeah yeah, you are probably looking at your calender wondering what I'm on but I'm going to be around the UK (mainly Scotland) this Christmas and was wondering if anyone knows what events are on so I can start organizing my calendar.

Also I need to know who is going where .

Right - I'm officially hijacking this thread to get suggestions for Christmas and New Year's Eve 2009, and any "holiday" events at the start of 2010. - DavidY
    ---------------------------------------------
    How it works:
    1. Suggest events you personally are interested in attending, in the form "Day & Date - Event - Location".
For example: "Sat 31 Dec - Hogmanay Party (Ceroc Scotland) - Perth, The Hangar"
    2. The moderators will put these suggestions into a poll. I think we might do this in early December.
Note: The poll may include extra options without event details (usually called "Spare", "Space" etc.) which allow the mods to add events in order after the poll is created - but only if no-one's voted on them. So, please ...er... don't vote on them.
    3. People vote, we can all see who's going where, and the indecisive amongst us can decide where to dance.

Note: no advertising: The forum rules about advertising apply - these polls are not meant to allow organisers / crew / friends to advertise events. The moderators will remove any such posts.
    ---------------------------------------------

    Updated 5th Dec:
Please don't put any more events on this thread. I've created a thread for next weekend and polls for Christmas and New Year's Eve period.
Please use one of these threads instead.
    Who's going where? 9th-17th December 2009
Who's going where around Christmas? 18th-27th December 2009
    Who's going where around New Year's Eve? 28th Dec 2009 to 3rd Jan 2010

Yeay! We are flying in to Glasgow on the 18th, so we should probably hang around for the party on the 19th.

Is there anything interesting to do in and around Perth on 1st January?

Yeah - go for lots of loooong, scenic walks to burn off all those excess Christmas calories, then find a nice pub somewhere (preferably with a nice open fireplace) to fill up the calories you've just burned, and just chill....... And prepare for more dancing the next day!!

Is there any accommodation being offered at the Hanger for this as per last time or should that be booked separately?

Both the accommodation and the Hogmanay tickets are available for booking online here.

It may well be. They could possibly be worried about breaking the forum rules on advertising

I'm looking into coming up for this since I enjoyed my Scottish trip last time round

Probably catching the train and arriving into Glasgow around 11am and then going back around 5pm on the Sunday

Could anyone offer me somewhere to stay? Amusement for when I'm not dancing??

I think this is the only one for 2009. I suggest we hijack this thread to put on events for Christmas/NYE 2009 (and any other parties at the start of 2010).

Then I'll put some sort of poll thread(s) together.

Good idea and if the events end up going over the 25 mark, we can always make separate regional polls

Thanks Lynda............it doesn't seem there is anything in the North London/Herts/Essex environs (aside from Cheshunt Just Jivin') that I know of.

Is there anything for this mass of population..........?

Last year Watford Colisseum was the main gig.....
