Just to ask a cheeky question...... does 'Blues Championship' mean 'Blues Championship' (to 'proper' Blues music), or 'WCS/R&B' championship' dressed up as Blues?! Seriously... I've noticed an increasing tendency in some CEROC Blues rooms I've attended recently to concentrate more on the latter, not the former, so just wondering whether the music at the CEROC 'Blues' champs will also reflect this movement.....

tut tut!! I whish you would get with the program

It will be nice to have you and Judith around xx

Was the one played Screaming Jay Hawkins or Tom Waits, I thought it was the Tom Waits version, but then again, I haven't seen my Blues comp DVD in quite some time...

I'm really looking forward to it this year, most of all cos I will be with the wonderful Crazy Shark. I'm also thinking the DWAS comp will be fun to enter again.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

'The music was absolutely brilliant'... says Gerry as an avid card carrying Westie!! Interestingly, 4 of the 5 names you mention are DJs that led to my original comment about playing extensive numbers of WCS tracks in Blues rooms so your post didn't necessarily re-assure me on that front!...... however... I have also heard fantastic Blues sets from all of them, and from what you and others are posting it sounds like there is a commitment to keep the Blues comp genuinely Blues.

Would I lie to a Vicar

As a Card carrying WCS and Jiver the music was really top drawer.
On a serious note the WCS dancers love proper blues music.

I hope you and Judith have a fab time at Breeze

Well, I've thrown caution to the four winds and booked my place. C'mon let's have a or two

Looking forward to a surfeit of Bluesy music and dance and if I finally completely wreck me kranky knees that's the price I'll have to pay.

I'm really hoping there will be plenty of music for Jiving as I don't do WCS or much Blues. I prefer more aerobic dancing!

You are in luck, due to popular demand, the organisers decided to cater to you fitness freaks and the huge main room is devoted to all that uptempo stuff

weather centre=information desk. At Breeze last time it was in the main entrance foyer area. You only need to book (and pay) for the Master Classes (see programme on web site). You don't have to book or pay any extra for all the normal classes. As MG says you cannot book until you get there.

Just to add to the other replies, if you are particularly keen on doing a masterclass, try and book it as soon as you arrive. All the masterclasses have limited spaces and some get fully booked very quickly on the Friday afternoon.
