What's that bright thing in the sky called ?

I saw something today, a bright thing only for a few minutes in the sky between the clouds.

Having phoned around I think its called the 'SUN'.

So whats happen to our summer a promising few days then default rain / drizzle rain etc

My ideal weather would be cold winters (I hate 8c and drizzle) and hot summers

    Whats yours ?

My friend has been in Normandy for the past week.

He says they have been getting showers every 45 minutes.

I think it's spreading north, as today the showers in London are every hour approx.

Ukraine has your typical harsh eastern European winter; however, it is shorter than most countries of this region. The northern parts of the Ukraine see the temperature rise from an icy range of -10 to -4°C (14 to 25°F) in January to a comfortable 15-25°C (59-77°F) range in July. The southern regions are just that bit friendlier, with cold but still milder winters and slightly warmer summers. Moderate rainfall occurs the year round but is nowhere particularly heavy at any time.

Did I mention that we're going on a Dance holiday to the South of Gran Canaria, where the temperature is around 30 degrees and it never, ever rains between June and September?

I agree with you Stewart, I would rather put up with a bit of cold in the winter whack up the heating up as anything is better than grey.

I love a hot steamy summer, where I can come home from work and sit out in my garden. I am really craving sunshine as I have not had a holiday abroad for a couple of years, but will definitely rectify this next year

Sadly I have no powers over the steaminess of the summer otherwise I would have definitely ordered a better and steamier summer. I might even go away now this year cos I need some sunshine just working out when I can go

So you don't think that Brean Sands and Southport in October will do it for you then ?

I can imagine that it will be "steamy" at both venues - although you may not get a tan
