I really am a very lucky lady, and I'm not entirely sure Howard knows what he's letting himself in for..... Although he assures me he does! All I know is that I can't stop smiling, and am still bouncing around like a very Happy Little Monkey!

Howard and I were camping in Shiel Bridge (west coast of Scotland, near Isle of Skye for those of you who don't know) at the weekend, and when we were on a wee walk on Saturday around the Old Man of Storr, he suddenly fell to his knees in front of me on the path. My instant reaction was 'What on earth are you doing down there, darling?' , and when he popped the question, I burst into tears. And then I couldn't stop smiling!

The engagement ring is ordered from Skye, too, so I won't have it for a few weeks....... But I've put a photo of it as my profile pic on facebook!

Isle of Skye was my first tour trip after I arrived in the U.K., Portree/Kilt Rock/Old Man Storr - my first experience of seeing the Highlands and Isle of Skye, great scenery despite the middle of winter!

I can just picture all those places again but with the summer warmth and sunshine included this time - that must've been very picturesque and a great backdrop to yon proposal. Massive congrats!

Yes, the ring is indeed from Skye Jewellery. Can't wait for it to arrive - they didn't have the ring I wanted , so we had to order it....... And it'll take a few weeks before it's ready, so I can't show it off at the next dance party, either....

The place was just the perfect backdrop for a proposal, and the weather was absolutely fantastic. I don't know what kind of deal Howard had made with the weather gods and the midgies, but we had stunning blue sky, and an almost complete lack of midgies!!!

It would be lovely to get married up there, too, but we're thinking of doing it all more local to where we live, so probably close to Montrose. Although plans may change!
