This may explain why he likes Max Moseley so much. And making these comments just before the German Grand Prix is just brilliant timing (one has to ask to what extent the two events were linked; while badly executed, this will generate a lot of publicity). Apparently, Jews caused the banking crisis too (although this was published in the mail, so the facts may not agree with the story). He's since apologised, retracted and, in what may be one of the year's most insightful understatements, described himself as an idiot for saying it in the first place.
Perhaps he should look a little more closely at the 1930s and how Hitler rose to power and achieved his economic "miracle" in Germany. It's relatively easy to achieve 100% employment if you kill or imprison your opponents and the 'unemployable'.
Maybe Norman Tebbits early 80's "get on your bike" comment to the unemployed, should have been "work or die".
Sacha Baron Cohen, in the guise of Bruno - an Austrian fashion model - offended an Austrian ambassodos, by saying he -
"Wanted to be the most famous Austrian since Hitler"
...actually there is a bit missing.
