Unlikely to be there as it's the weekend before my wedding and I'm likely to be busy
Breeze will have to be my dance weekender hen party instead

We are finding at Southport the waiting list for girls runs to over 500, and we are trying something new to see if this helps. The law prohibits us from simply making offer to males.

The law wouldn't stop males going for cheaper or making offers for males.
Dating site, night clubs etc (all free for females , case in point)
I wonder what these weekenders would be like without gender balance ?
I spoke to Val at Lux about this.
Apparently provisional dates have been agreed but contracts have not yet been signed. They don't want to release provisional dates that may change with the attendant problems. Which was the reason for the date change problems this year.
LOL! I think those bridges have been burnt, buried, dug up, punched in the face, burnt again, posted to China, rolled over by a tank and a person in a wheelchair, sent to a reclaimation factory staffed by pandas, been made into newspapers, been read, discarded, made into energy effecient paper brickets and then burnt again...
Pontin's announced back in February that they are going to demolish both Camber and Southport and re-build them. No news yet though on when they're going to do this. Maybe they don't want to sign anything until they have a better idea of when this is all going to happen.

Anyone know how close Splash is to selling out?
I'm trying to get Himship to decide if he wants to go or not, I don't think he grasps the issue that girls places sell out far quicker than boys places
Icey, booking with a guy tends to be fine, even vaguely last minute, as it doesn't alter the gender balance its only for single or multiple women trying to book that's the real problem.
...and of being in a couple / having a few reliable male friends
Someone was asking me last night about the amount of WCS at Splash. Was there a dedicated WCS room/slot at the last one and how many hours of WCS freestyle would there be? (I know there will be classes).
There were dedicated WCS slots in what was the latin room at Blush and Scorch. I would guess that there will be some WCS slots again but I believe from the website that the focus is much more on Argentine Tango for Splash so that might reduce the amount of WCS slots...but I'm only guessing.
If anybody is thinking of travelling by train, Virgin are selling tickets from £8 each way, at the moment, on trains direct from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street (journey time from 2hr 10 min).
At that price you can travel before 1:00 pm or after 7:00 pm approx going to Liverpool on Friday and after 11:00 am back to London on Monday.
Travel from Liverpool Lime Street to Pontins can be done by local commuter train approx £4 each way, approx 30 min journey but check the last connection if you are going up very late as some of the Virgin trains will not connect and either walking ( about 15 min) or taxi (cost approx £3 tel no.01704 531000) once you reach Ainsdale.
(Ant's beat me to it)
A few days ago I bought a return ticket (actually 2 singles) from Euston to Ainsdale return for £22 using this search engine Cheapest Fare Finder
Tip: If you're traveling from the London area do a search from your nearest mainline station (to Ainsdale) and you may get the whole journey for £22 return.
Having a single from Ainsdale (rather than Liverpool) may be the better option with advanced tickets,
Advanced tickets have been 'simplified' so if your ticket is from Liverpool, if the Ainsdale train is late and you don't make your connection at Liverpool because of it, you'd have to buy a new full priced ticket from Liverpool.
