I didn't get pi55ed off... but more at the fact that he'd forced me into a situation where, I was either going to have to risk being being thought of as some sort of hotshot and refuse or stuff the rest of the cake in my mouth, wipe my fingers on my bum and get on with it but knowing I was doing it begrudgingly and not be able to give him my best, which also doesn't sit well with me

In the end, I gestured with a smile, to my cake and drink and then swallowed hard and said pleadingly, "I'd love to but can you just give me 5 mins? "

    He never come back

But thats just lack of social skills isn't it. ( i mean the asker not you)

Exactly - hence my suggestion that a little bit of advice to new men on dancing etiquette might be useful. Or does Ceroc attract a higher proportion of men who lack social skills than is average in the population?

Of course this chap could have been so overwhelmed by the erotic sight of Lory stuffing her face that he just had to ask her to dance...

I doubt it but if that was the case, I should have stuffed the other half in 'his' mouth and got 'him' to lick my fingers and then wiped them on 'his' bum!

Really? I wouldn't have thought having a queue of dribbling social retards would be something to be pleased about.

    He never come back
If he's anything like me - unless he'd been watching you dancing and waiting to ask you for a while - he might not have remembered who he asked so he could come back and get you again...or he might have got sidetracked by cake, chocolate orgasms, other dancers, another room, bed...

Re: Refusals - A spin off from the Cerocport review thread

This is a bizarrely long thread over what is really a simple issue of being a normal, well adjusted person. Societies over the centuries have attempted to define and legislate decency and none have ever succeeded. Typically, the harder they've tried, the harder they've failed.

Instead of arguing the nuances and rules of a million different situations, I really think it can be summarised in two guidelines.

    1. You may sometimes want to say no to a dance. If you do, be nice about it. People will remember.
    2. Sometimes people will say not to a dance with you. Get over it and enjoy your next dance.

You're one of those killjoy types who tells everyone that Bruce Willis is dead all along in The Sixth Sense aren't you?

You don't think anyone on here says anything of importance, value or substance do you? We're all just talking bollox and avoiding doing the filing/housework/shopping. Please leave us to our rantings and stop talking sense...that's just crazy!

What is it about a bit of sunshine? It turns some people into total fashion retards! There's loads of photographic proof posted to Facebook. Hopefully these guys will see themselves after they've been tagged in the pictures and realise just what an affront to the eyes khaki knee length safari shorts, black blox and brown ankle socks are as a combination.

Let's face it, it's fairly simple....
"You want to wear shorts on the dance floor"?
    "Yes"
    "Are you a man"?
    "Yes"
    "Don't do it"

    "Yes"
    "Are you a man"?
    "No"
    "Fine"

This has been the most helpful thread for me.

I've found myself wedged between fear of rejection and fear of stalkers. A hopeless situation as the resultant body language/mindset ensured a virtually dance free weekender recently

Reading all your posts has lightened me up...thanks guys & girls

Hey I wear shorts a lot to Ceroc nights! It's too damn hot in the summer! But I don't wear socks and shoes, just "trainer liners" and a slim pair of white leather trainers.

Oh, and some kind of billboard style t-shirt. But then I always wear those anyway....
