Yes seconded....
Good luck all of you that are competing. I am sorry we are not going to be there to support you all this year but its certainly not something we will miss next year. I'd love Scarface to see how wonderful the showcases are and just how talented some of you forumites can be when ya put ya mind to it.
Anyway - fingers crossed for lots of winners that i know and a special everything crossed for my little mates Ruby and DD+.

Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
Good luck to everyone competing

What a weekend!
We got through to round 2 of Intermediates, which was an improvement on last year, so I'm happy now. (Even though we did have the dubious distinction of being the first couple to perform the "unplanned, unsupported fast drop to floor" move in round 2! )
Things I have learned this weekend:
BIG thanks to C2D. Roll on next year!
- Dance partners bounce when they hit the floor.
- Blackpool Tower Ballroom has a leaky roof.
- It is possible to function even after socialising and drinking until 5 am for two nights on the trot.
- Dancing is difficult when the heel and sole of one of your dance shoes are encrusted with rhinestones shed from someone else's dance costume.
- Some Australians are capable of mixing up their toothpaste and hand cream and not realising it until after brushing their teeth. (She knows who she is...)
- Greasy cooked breakfasts and strong coffee actually do help relieve hangovers.
- Modern Jive dancers, as a group, are among the best people you could meet.
Congratulations to all the competitors and well done to all the winners. I had a brilliant day, no matter what anyone says about cost etc, dancing in the Tower Ballroom is a fabulous experience, and competing there has a magic all of its own. I have lots of nice memories and photos which I will put on FB.
if you love the life you live then you'll get a lot more done
Thoroughly agree with you there - this was my 2nd time at C2D and we have had an amazing time at both.
Congratulations to you Ruby "Girl you rocked!" Thanks to all for the support and cheering throughout the day it really does lift your spirits when you are out on the floor
I would also like to add that I think C2D did an excellent and professional job both with keeping things on time, their presentation and the respect they showed the winners by calling them by their names when they won a place. Well done.

Anyone know how to order the DVD? I've looked on the chance2dance site but there doesn't appear to an order form to download
