I won a holiday to Mexico but I had to give the prize away...I'm pig sick about it
For when you've had a swine of a day and feel piggin awful!!
if you love the life you live then you'll get a lot more done
I'm a bit worried - not about catching swine flu, but that my family won't let me go on any weekenders in case I catch it! Just being out of hospital I know I need to be careful, but I also know I'm going to want to get out and about and have fun again when I get stronger. I just hope the media hype dies down a bit in the coming weeks.
Jerome K Jerome did write other funny books beside "Three men in a boat", and his atkr on hypochondia came from another. I also remember after 5 decades his account of being worried by the low beam at the entrance to his cellar. He put up a notice saying "Mind your head", but people were so involved with ducking that they fell down the stairs. So he changed it to "Mind the stairs", and then they hit theit heads, then fell down the stairs.
Hi Lynn Sorry to hear that...Sadly this is set to run and run up to and over the winter.
I think that if you get advise from your doctor before you go to see if you are fit enough at the time, that is all you can do. We should also have a better picture on how this is devloping here over the next few weeks.
There are bugs and viruses everywhere so I guess there is no increased risk for you, and as yet the UK Swine flu appears to be fairly mild.
I can fully appreciate why your family would be worried about you.
Good luck and hope this will not spoil your dancing.
True enough - but it would probably make you more susceptible.
On the other hand, maybe a suppressed immune system isn't such a bad thing... as ever, xkcd makes a good point.
Love dance, will travel
