How are you celebrating today?
George who ?
Unfortunately or fortunately depending on your point of view, I have an obligation to parade on the nearest Sunday to St. Georges day because I'm a scout leader and he is the Patron Saint of Scouting.
However the plus's are, it is a great spectacle seeing around 1000 scouts, cubs and beavers actually wearing full, smart uniform, great atmosphere in the cathedral and a fairly entertaining service about George and the Dragon. Also it takes place at 2.00 in the afternoon.
Not that many negatives really, apart from the noise and behavior you get sometimes, of course the weather - I've actually done this parade in a hailstorm, and trying to deal with a load of pebble-dashed scouts, who invariably would rather be playing with their playstation is not one of my favourite experiences
