    London on Wednesday nights

Will be down in London next week, wondering where is a good venue to dance at on a Wednesday night? Happy to travel anywhere round London really, as long as it's easy to get to on public transport.

Please let me know where you like and why, so I can see if I'd like it too!

    Re: London on Wednesday nights

My local venue,Ceroc @ Ealing Town Hall, has just reopened on a Wednesday (used to be on a Tuesday).

    Plus points:
    + Very friendly
    + Large hall, just refurbished
    + Good DJ (Ian)

    Negative points:
    - Relatively new venue (~2 years), so not a lot of really experienced dancers. The teacher + taxis do emphasize lead/follow/connection though, so I'd say it has fewer 'yankers' than many venues.
    - Not terribly central (but on the Tube)
    - I'll be there!

Feel free to PM me if you have questions about transport etc. (+ I can probably arrange a bed for the night if you want).

There's always Clapham. I'll probably be there later on Wednesday - have to do something else first. It used to be really good, but the attendance hasn't been fabulous of late I believe - am partially guilty, as I've been going to Greenwich of late. But it's likely to be busier this week, as the Monday night was closed. Is about a 5-10 minute walk from Clapham Junction station (mainline, not tube).

Plus points are good floor, free water and air con.

Whereabouts will you be staying? Might help in suggesting a venue for you.

I'm also in Town for the week. I'm yet to decide whether to dance Tues or Wed. I used to like George's classes at Clapham on Wed, but these are not more .

If I do choose Wed, I have to go right past Romford's class on the way to Clapham

FM - would be lovely to see you. I'm also hoping to be at Greenwich on Tuesday if all goes according to plan.

I was there, albeit a little late for eggs and champagne.

Do come and find me and say hello if you can. I'll probably be wearing black trousers and very sparkly lace-up shoes (and there's a pic on my profile too).

I risked being thought a bit odd in the class, as I kept looking at the women's feet as I went around, but couldn't spot you

I was looking at feet too, for your shoes as described but didn't spot you either! Unless your hair is now shorter and darker Twirly? But wasn't sure enough to ask!! Oh well...had a lovely time and some brilliant dances, so thanks for the tip!
