...by Karen Rose. I couldn't put it down. It was very good. If you like Crime Thrillers, then this is fab. Quite complex, with at least 3 separate stories all going on at once, but figuring out the links and seeing them develop is all part of the fun!! Good ending too, if a little bit cheesy but fitting given the rest of the story!
Sorry
I really like Karen Rose's books. Definitely another newer author that i've added to my list of must reads.
Not read Karen Rose
But love Tess Geritzen, James Patterson etc so will definetly look out for this one.
I read a Linwood Barclay one recently, it was called "no time for goodbye" Have to say it kept me in the story but felt it was a bit too watery. It had a good story but lacked depth.
Am going to try another one of his "Too close to home" just to see how it compares.
Tess Gerritsen was an author I found last year, and really like these - lots of detail, plus main characters that are likeable.
I love James Patterson's - unfortunately he's rolling them out far too quickly for me (have a pile of c.40 'to read' books and think I've got 3 of his in there!).
Another 2 that I like that are in the same vein are Harlan Coben and another one that I can't for the life of me remember...knew it would come to me Lee Child. The main characters are a bit darker in these though.
Killing floor is the first of the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child; but I recommend you start with the second novel, Die trying.
They're really quite - blokey books. I could see women not really taking to them at all. On the other hand, plenty of blokes read Jane Austen, so...
Oh, and I suppose I should plug the three greatest living US detective writers: Michael Conelly, Robert Crais, and especially James Lee Burke. George V Higgins would be a fourth if he hadn't up and died a few years ago.
