Just been talking to a friend of mine who is in the film industry as a script writer. There is apparently a film in the making heavily based around Modern Jive.
Fromn the sounds of it, it is a little like Love n Dancing.
He has asked me if there are a handful of good dancers who feel like they can act to play some parts in the film, Other good dancers for background sceans and some people to help choreograph it.
Filming will take place in the Summer and it will be based around London.
He does work for a major player in films and the last 4 he has done are The Bank Job, The Shrine, Sleeping with fishes and soon to be relesed this year, 1066. All of which have been cinema films so there is a good chance this one will be too.
They also want to film in some venues, so if anyone is up for any of the above, let me know.
if there is money involved, im up for it. sis..... this could be it, our moment of fame. LOL - yes i did just volenteer us.
I don't think it matters how much you are prepared to pay Lee, you're too old!
I'm way ahead of you there Sis. Lee has already cast me as the young, sexy, hotshot dancer that all the men dream of dancing with.
We're already famous Sis!
Lol. Im not doing the casting. Just getting some details together of people who want to do it. Got to get him some names this by this afternoon. I know it's short notice, but im sure there are loads of people out there who want to have a go.
I'm in it - I had a hat, so they cast me as Nigel Anderson woo
You can put my name on the list - I've already worked in a film as a dancing extra - and if I don't get work before then, I'll be free...
Is the Director of the film Paolo Lirf by any chance? Is that why he needs names by this afternoon?
lol Could have had that going another 15 mins.
Thanks for all the PM's asking for a part and even the phone call from a certain Southern Based teacher saying they could film at his venues dispite the fact he clearly doesn't like me.
Should I name and shame the ones who PM'd me asking for a part. Don't think I should. What do you think Gav?
"Before the introduction of the Gregorian calendar by Pope Gregory I in 1582 AD, New Years Day was on March 25th with celebrations which lasted for about eight days! These ended on April 1st, possibly at 12 noon. This may be why trick playing is supposed to cease at 12 noon on April 1st."
Oh yes please.
Some people are so gullible - i love April Fools day. (Scottish Football ahead, you may stop reading here!) I liked the email that went round the office about the new Hibernian away strip - green and white hoops if thats wasn't enough the "primark" logo was fairly obvious hoho
