Yeh If they could just keep a nice 4-week gap between all the weekenders then we could all attend all of them.

Instead of them being like buses. - your waiting for a while and then two come along at once.

I doubt they'd have moved it just cos its near another weekender. They said it was 'unavoidable' - moving it to suit their own other weekenders would not be 'unavoidable' - in fact it would be a pretty shabby way to treat their customers!

Presuming this is some problem with Pontins. It does raise questions about what other weekenders are going to be moved - as this is the third one with a date change this year.

They're both in May - but the Champs are in London aren't they?

I think competitions and weekenders are two very different events. I've been to one comp and while it was great fun - when I travel to dance I want lots and lots of freestyle time - and I don't get that at a comp.

Not able to go to any weekenders for a while, now have to think about what options there are for later in the year.

Two of the Southport ones were moved - one was moved from Sep to Oct. But I don't think booking was open for it so moving it wouldn't have caused too much hassle (aside from people having to change booked leave from work).

I suppose I am just a bit wary as I book flights for weekenders as well so its a good bit of extra cost for me if dates are changed.

I'm sure its extra cost for Ceroc if Pontins are messing them about. Might have to change some of their teachers and DJs etc as the ones booked may not be available etc.

Well there was 4 weeks between Ceroc Breeze (Brean Sands), and Jive Addiction Eclipse September (Skegness) (now only 3).

They did remove a weekender that had been given a date last year (Splash 2008 @ Blackpool).

If the date is only provisional they should advertise it as such.

I enjoyed the Blackpool weekend and would have gone again (nice easy journey too).

Actually it is the fourth this year (if you count cancellations aka moving to next year).

I just noticed that Ceroc Chill (Prestatyn) which has long had a date advertised in early July this year is now TBA 2010.

mine went into my junk folder. Luckily my roomie and I can both still make it but I'm still annoyed by the whole situation having happened twice in a row now

Oops - have just checked my junk mail too - and yes my email is there too.

Still am unable to make the new date though so have requested a refund. Hopefully I'll receive it promptly.

I've just got home to find a good old-fashioned letter with the same information as the email - at least they're using two forms of communication.

There no way I can make the new dates therefore we will no longer be able to defend our title for the UK Open Blues Champs.

Good luck to those who enter.
