Oooh looks like this is fully booked, as do a lot of hotels round there. Anyone got more ideas?

Sadly not for me this year. My dance partner from last year has (quite rightly) moved on to better and younger things .

Look out for her, 'cause I think she's destined for the top! A young lady by the name of Charlotte. A lovely young lady, who has become a stunning dancer in her relatively short time on the dance scene, and has the ability to soak up new styles, techniques, etc, like a massive sponge .

Happened upon this thread and thought I would post a quick word of caution.

Dont want to put a dampner on the day but I dont want to see a repeat of bad things. Just a word to say BE CAREFUL where you park your car if you are driving there.

The area is, lets say, not the nicest area so please be careful when parking.

    Better to forwarned etc..

I was lucky last year - I found a lovely little spot just a few hundred metres past the Troxy (going back toward London). It's a 'U-Shaped' street called 'Albert Gardens'. It's the kind of street where you'd think it's residents only parking, but on Sundays it's public (I checked with a resident first, just in case).

I arrived just before 10am, and there were a couple of spaces available :-)

    Hi y'all,

    I plan to compete!

If anyone fancies a nice coach trip up from the south west and can get to Cardiff (6.30am) or Bristol (7.20am), leaving Troxy at midnight then I understand Ceroc South Wales are organsing one - contact Lyndsey number on this site -

I loved the marble room last year and the beautiful music played there. I remember enjoying a lovely smooth double trouble before the fast track in the competition.

I hope to spend a lot more time in the room as we need to get there earlier this year and are only doing double trouble and one other category so we should get a lot of free time.

I am really looking forward to this year.

What's the parking like round there from an availability point of view? I know the website says there is parking in the surrounding streets but if people are only coming for the evening, is there realistically likely to be anything free?

You were lucky. That's the road that had cars with smashed windows either last year or the year before. Cant remember which.

I have no idea. I have only been the once. I only posted just to urge people to be careful.

very sad ... I remember when it was over 100.

we will be in Malta this year but good luck to all of our students who are going we hope you all do well and will be thinking of you as we teach in the sun.

Make sure you text us with how you are all doing.

For us we will compete at Blackpool at the UK champs so look forward to seeing you there.

I notice on here anyway very few people taking part

I hope people dont forget the 'fun' element or are getting scared off , of having a go.

    Re: London Ceroc Champs – Troxy – 3rd May - Who's Going?

Hello! Not posted for two years apparently!!
Been busy getting myself married etc. But bringing my lovely new hubby to the intermediate round this year. He's only had a few lessons but shows amazing potential.
We are taking part, enjoying ourselves but this time not really competing! I know what the competition is like at any level and we aren't there yet. But watch my eyes twinkle as another dream comes true!
Sad to miss Simon and Nicole this year! (My faves) but looking forward to Tim Sant showcase! Will be reading whos there and look forward to seeing you all again!!

Sadly, finances dictate that I can't make it this year (although if I did, I'd be entering the 'Old Farts' category this time ).

I'll be cheering for her in thought though. My decision to partner her last year was really to give her an idea of what the champs would be like, so I'll be so pleased if she does well, and that I can think that maybe I played a very small part in helping her succeed
