I was lucky last year - I found a lovely little spot just a few hundred metres past the Troxy (going back toward London). It's a 'U-Shaped' street called 'Albert Gardens'. It's the kind of street where you'd think it's residents only parking, but on Sundays it's public (I checked with a resident first, just in case).

I arrived just before 10am, and there were a couple of spaces available :-)

    There'll be 1 extra - I'm not going

Paul F - I had no idea! Seemed such a lovely quiet street too!

I'm going to try and ring up the Ceroc hotline on my lunch break and book myself a Day Entry ticket and enter the DWAS ... err, Lucky Dip

If I get a ticket, I'll be going to London this weekend!

Just quickly, are any forumites competing in Top Cats? I am unfamiliar with this, I'm on the verge of booking myself in for Lucky Dip which I understand to be DWAS with 1 partner from start to finish.

But Top Cats? Is this more aimed at really really good dancers?

I'm just trying to make up my mind whether to spend another 15 quid on this, or just stick with Lucky Dip

    Re: London Ceroc Champs – Troxy – 3rd May - Who's Going?

I've successfully booked myself in as a Lucky Dip competitor, a rather last-minute entry at that I've done this whilst I've been in a happy mood the last couple of days, starting from my birthday

Granted, the happy go lucky mood may disappear once I'm at the floor competing(!) and/or looking at how diminished my bank balance is after spending money on transport and the tickets today...

But nonetheless, I look forward to getting down to London and meeting forumites who are also attending the Champs, many of you whom I've not yet met!

Case in point - Maxine, this maybe a good chance to say Hi to you in person after missing each other at the Feb Hammersmith Cerotica event!

Whatever may happen at the Lucky Dip, I'm aiming to have a fun weekend to further celebrate my birthday, and come back to Glasgow with a big smile on my face

Don't beleive Top Cats is open to teachers. So is worth it if you are a good dancer. You are judged on your dancing not as a pair of dancers. Ie if you are great and partner rubbish you may get through tot the next round and she/he may not. Go for it! And enjoy without expectation!! See you there

Right, finally got a routine sorted (almost!), so assuming practice goes well tomorrow with the lovely and very talented Happy B, we will be performing our Showcase on Sunday We've been working on it now for a grand total of 6 days (), so it's not quite up to scratch, but here's hoping...

It's going to be a busy day. I've stupidly entered -

    Showcase
    Team Cabaret
    Open
    Ceroc X
    Top Cats

Think I'll be heading to the Body Shop on Monday for a new pair of legs...

Good luck to everyone who's competing. Except anyone who's competing against me! Looking forward to seeing you all there.
