    Edinburgh classes

A friend is moving to Edinburgh - I think he'd enjoy going along to classes. Anyone on here go to classes in Edinburgh so that if he does go I could point a few people in his direction for the first week or so - if I can persuade him to give it a try?

    Hi Lynn,

There is a new Facebook group being set up under the name " Edinburgh Dance Society", the group is aimed at anyone who is interested in dancing in the Edinburgh area who would like to socialise with other dancers and find out what the latest news on classes, workshops, events...etc.

Might be a idea for your friend to join that.

    Cheers, DD

I go to classes in Edinburgh, Lynn. So, I'd be happy (as I'm sure loads of others would too!) to dance with him whenever!

    Re: Edinburgh classes

There are two classes in Edinburgh, one on a Tuesday night at St Stephens Centre in Stockbridge, and the other at the masonic club off Leith Walk. There are lots of friendly people at both classes, but I will say that the Tuesday night classes can get VERY busy (this can be great if your a leader as you're never off the floor, but the followers can spend a lot of time waiting for a turn).

I'm puzzled at the bit that I have highlighted in bigger type - If CJ classes himself as a beginner then I have years even to get anywhere near beginner

    Clear Now DS??

Ahh, no. CJ was referring to his Mum who is a beginner, therefore he will join her in the beginners class for a while.

    perhaps I'm being pedantic again
