Our tickets have arrived too - now trying to work out logistics of how to get the tickets to the people not driving up with us?!
As a JA first timer this time, I was quite surprised at how little information there is on Eclipse - yes there's a brochure, but it only really tells you about the the schedule. I was expecting more compared to what I feel I get from a ceroc weekender in advance.
As there was only brochure, i'm presuming the other ticket holders will get theirs when they turn up? Plus maps etc of the site?
I'll definitely be squeezing some in...
Can I squeeze some of that in too, please?
I don't know if there's another sole on the forum from East Kent, but if there is, and you're going to Eclipse, let me know if you fancy sharing the journey.

Dependent on who is there at the time, I envisage some tangoable stuff within the Mariachi set, also...
Well my stuff has come through, a first over 10 days early
I see there still catering for hours and hours for the 30 or so WCS
I just hope the music turns out ok
That was the biggest disappointment for me last time, as I have said before I missed the blues fill of a Southport cira 2006 and hope we get some of that back. I have read Ceroc Southport have, so for me this will be a big one to decide where to go in the future
Although her in doors wants comfort so it will always be skegness
Sadly I can't go anymore
I am at least running 3 Milongas this time. They run after midnight because that hall is used for Jive until midnight. Most peps tend to prefer a later slot.
I hope we can continue the Tango support that we built up over 4 years at the previous venue. I have asked for more chairs and tables, lighting etc to create a more pleasing atmosphere.
I have a lot of new music, but it helps if you send any special Tango requests so that I have a chance to track down anything that is difficult to get.
Have JA stopped having Saturday night themes ????
Don't think they had one in Feb and can't seem to find one for next week either ?????

Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
There was one in Feb it was Valintines day....cupid....etc,
I dressed as a fairy, with wings, wand, and pink tutu.............never again, as I left my appartment to walks down to the venue, thinking nothing of it....hey its just fletch..... I was insulted by the drunken muggles with several comments by different people........like what the ****ing hell dose she look like........ this is one of the only times I have felt like a 47 year old ......mutton dresssed as lamb............Trinny never made me feel like that no matter howm much she tried......but those muggles did.
I will not be drawing attention to myself with my clothes at this venue....jeans and tops, or black trousers and tops, I have to walk between main room and the blues room through them........havnt even thought about what i'm taking this time

3 sleeps to go
Not sure if you favour traditional or nuevo but I have a couple of favourites. They're not very original so you could well have these already:
Apocalyptica - Fade to Black
Nothing Else Matters
Habanera (Carmen)
Ravel's Bolero
Una Llamada
Wicked Game - Chris Isaak
Secret - Marroon 5
Smells like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
Thanks very much. Can't wait!
Honestly it's like herding cats! You wouldn't think getting 8 people on a weekender would be so traumatic.
I've managed to sell the male place (as above). Thanks very much to all the people who replied and I'm sure all the ladies will be over the moon as the lovely Amr is now coming!
But now one of the ladies has dropped out due to last minute problems at work.
So I now have a spare female ticket for Skeggy.
So if you know of any ladies still looking for places, let me know.
Thanks very much!
neela drifts from the film fast and furious 3 is very nice as is john powells assassins tango, Ill send more if I remember tomorrow
