It really depends how you define success, and your past experience.

As Ceroc weekenders go it was a relatively good one. For most people that may be enough. If the bar is set there it was certainly successful.

Certainly not crowded. However that may not entirely reflect the numbers there as there will be a greater proportion of people on the floor at a weekender with better gender balance.

That's weird, as a friend and I had commented at how good the gender balancing was.

But, I do admit, I can't comment on the main room but other than that, my experience was that the GBing was spot on

If I were a lady I would be in agreement

Outside the main room I don't think it was crowded enough to be definitive.

It is always possible to move rooms, but the main room crowd don't as a whole have that option.

Compared to other gender balanced weekenders the difference in balance was quite striking.

I'm just trying to get a feel whether or not the event would be suited for westies who do no or little MJ - any feedback on that much appreciated
I think the schedule was relatively accurate http://network.ceroc.com/Application...lush/?page=201

    Plenty of WCS music.

WCS dancers somewhat conspicuous by their absence, despite the provision made for them. I guess it is the opposite of the under provision for the numbers previously seen at Southport.

I think a WCS only leader would get frustrated (unless they brought their own partners), or knew in advance who did and did not do WCS.

I'd surmise it would less frustrating for WCS followers.

I have a little suggestion: Could you get water fountains instead of water machines? Or maybe a mix of both.

It's just that it seems such a waste to be constantly using cups when all I want is a little swig of water.

Maybe people have already thought about it and it's not feasible. It’s just a little suggestion in case they haven’t.

Look, I'm no expert, but even I know water fountains need to be plumbed in with a water supply and drainage, not to mention they are extremely wasteful and unhygienic....oh, and they also ruin your lippy when you're trying to have a slurp, Jim.

And water drips off your chin into your cleavage. Eek

What I do is take an empty water bottle with me and fill it up at the water machine.

    1. Saves making frequent treks to said machine

    2. You don't need to leave a cup lying around. Even with your name on it, some fool will drink out of it. Also someone might drug it.

    3. Saves wastage of cups - cardboard or plastic, so we'll be able to live on this planet a little longer. It all adds up you know.

    The same ones as you.

Anyways, Rohypnol is colourless and odourless, perfect in the wrong hands, with chalets but a step away.

That driver of a black cab is in court at the moment for drugging girl passengers with it in champagne.

I use a plastic bottle too - mainly for this reason. But the looks you get sometimes - as if filling a bottle is somehow 'wrong' - while filling, using and throwing away maybe 5 or 6 plastic cups per night is better...

I take a big full bottle - and even then someone knicked it!!!

If only they knew how long I've been refilling and drinking out of that Volvic bottle they mnight not have bothered

In the 5 hours or so that I didn't have it it got really tedious and a little dangerous (I'd hate to have ruined someone's clothes/dance/the floor by spilling) having to squeeze past the dancing dancers and the ones sitting at the bar just to refill a little cup.
(though - Handy Tip - I did score my initials on the side of the cup so I knew which one was mine)
