Yes, just the internet use demographic and those who post on forums in particular will never be very representative. I'd just like to motion that I very much like 26-30 rather than 25-29 bandings and that it stays that way next year

What's that all about, don't people over a certain age deserve the same consideration that is afforded to the younger dancers?
Well ... simply said, this is purely a statistical exercise. The first poll showed:

over 20% of dancers in each of the 21-30, 31-40 and 41-50 brackets,
and less than 2% in each of the 61-70, 71-80 and 81-90 brackets.

And so statistically it makes sense to focus in on those brackets 21-50, and focus out on the 61-90 brackets. So yes, it is ageist .... after all, it is a poll on age!!! And discriminatory .... I have discriminated toward certain categories and away from others! Thank you for your observation!!

[Based on the above percentages, it would have been reasonable to have clumped all the top age brackets into 61+ !!!! How would you have liked that then! ]

Fletch has a good point, that she cannot add her kids. I'm sorry Fletch, but I'm far too suspicious of a small minority (to spoil my precious poll!) than to allow a smaller minority to add their kids that dance!! Will the next dance make up for my indiscretion??

It may make 'statistical sense' to 'focus out' groups but it is insulting non the less to the older age group. Yes I am glad to hear that you agree the new poll is ageist and discriminatory and as for my observations, you are most welcome. I hope they have been of assistance.

I fit into the youngest category easily. At only 16 it'd take me another 5 years to enter the next category up. But at 16 I'm already consumed by dancing.
