The BFG is set for the week-end of the 24th, 25th and 26th September 2004. It will take place (mostly) at the Bells Sports Arena in Perth. The nearest airports are Edinburgh or Dundee.Originally posted by Lynn

Best to book hotel rooms as soon as possible as we will take over the city that week-end! As Sheena suggests, you can book the Travelodge ( www.travelodge.co.uk ) or the holiday inn express, plus many other hotels in Perth.
There will be a party on the Friday night, a series of masterclasses on the Saturday and Sunday, and of course the Big Gathering Party on the Saturday night!
Franck.
There's an A.P.P. for that!
Thanks Franck. I checked earlier and I can get flights to Edinburgh for about £25-30 at the moment.Originally posted by Franck

I've just booked the Travelodge and couldn't get a twin room, had to book a family room (could be that they don't do twins, don't know) but if it means all the twins have gone, then its prbably best to book asap to make sure you get in.Originally posted by Franck

Do you think that Perth has any clue about what is going to hit it the last weekend in September?? Mad Cerocers everywhere! oh, can't wait! Just as well we have a few mad events before then to keep us going!

I booked a Travelodge room for my boss last week - the 'family room' - a double bed and a sofa bed - is their version of a twin room.Originally posted by Bardsey

Maybe some folk could share rooms to keep down costs? I'd be willing to share with someone (some other female, I hasten to add! )

Tell me....are these affairs totally tee-total?
Never been to one before and I'm TOTALLY in to cocktails at the moment(and they don't give me hangovers), though I don't intend drinking whilst I'm spinning, except wter of course, but do people have drinkies afterwards?

Oh...........I have heard that some folk do tend to partake of a little drink or two - often in an identified hotel bedroom. I've heard the stories but have never been present at said 'parties'.
Doubt I could survive a day of dancing, a very late party and then more workshops .....but good luck

Things are moving on in the background, and I am trying to confirm a few more things, but it will now definitely be the last week-end in September (24th to the 26th).
