Which would be the best airport to fly into for the BFG? (I can fly really cheaply to Glasgow or Edinburgh from Belfast).

The BFG is set for the week-end of the 24th, 25th and 26th September 2004. It will take place (mostly) at the Bells Sports Arena in Perth. The nearest airports are Edinburgh or Dundee.
Best to book hotel rooms as soon as possible as we will take over the city that week-end! As Sheena suggests, you can book the Travelodge ( www.travelodge.co.uk ) or the holiday inn express, plus many other hotels in Perth.
There will be a party on the Friday night, a series of masterclasses on the Saturday and Sunday, and of course the Big Gathering Party on the Saturday night!
    Franck.

    There's an A.P.P. for that!

Thanks Franck. I checked earlier and I can get flights to Edinburgh for about £25-30 at the moment.

I've just booked the Travelodge and couldn't get a twin room, had to book a family room (could be that they don't do twins, don't know) but if it means all the twins have gone, then its prbably best to book asap to make sure you get in.

I booked a Travelodge room for my boss last week - the 'family room' - a double bed and a sofa bed - is their version of a twin room.

Maybe some folk could share rooms to keep down costs? I'd be willing to share with someone (some other female, I hasten to add! )

Never been to one before and I'm TOTALLY in to cocktails at the moment(and they don't give me hangovers), though I don't intend drinking whilst I'm spinning, except wter of course, but do people have drinkies afterwards?

Oh...........I have heard that some folk do tend to partake of a little drink or two - often in an identified hotel bedroom. I've heard the stories but have never been present at said 'parties'.

Doubt I could survive a day of dancing, a very late party and then more workshops .....but good luck
