Tickets are on pre-sale for o2 next year....
Anyone been yet? If so, what did you think?
I'm going tomorrow (Sat 7th) to O2 - does anyone know how long the show is for?....I'm trying to plan how to get to/from the venue.

saw it last year - and it was ok - wouldn't be spending my money again - format wasn't my thing
Hi Gojive
Went last night but I won’t give too much away as it may spoil it for you. I enjoyed the evening the outfits were magnificent, with everything sparkling. Kate Thornton was the host and she was really good. I actually preferred her to Bruce (I know sacrilege). I felt that it was all a bit scripted though, especially the judges but Julian Clary was hilarious.
Negatives:
1. Arena too big made viewing difficult, we were in one of the executive boxes ( very nice with own lounge area and waitress, you can’t expect us to go and get our own drinks) but they are about half way up and felt we were just a little too far away from the dances, had to wear my glasses to see.
2. No Mark Ramprakash or Alesha Dixon my favourite Strictly dancers
3. All felt a bit too staged for me because it is done as a competition with the judges and think it would have been better as an exhibition
Highlight: Show dance – wow
Travel: If you are driving park in car park 2 this is nearer to the arena but if they ask where you’re going say the cinema . Finishes at 10:00pm so there is plenty of time to get to Hammersmith on the way back and have the last 3 hours dancing
Summary: A really good evening enjoyed it but probably would not go again but a very kind and thoughtful gift from my daughter , so thanks Charlotte
PS Gojive let me know what you think tomorrow
MMMM wot to say.
We had very good seats, level 1, about 9 back from front but would have liked a little nearer.
O2 always train in as its so simple to get too and from there from our end.
Kate Thornton, could not understand what she has done to herself. Looked extremely haggered and tired and her make up was terrible when we went Friday and to be honest, i didn't enjoy her presenting at all.
Stopped to get something to drink and noticed that a pinnini was £6.50, coffee was £3.50 i think and gross. Bar was just as ridiculously priced.
Anyway, back to the actual show. Very staged and practiced. It was lovely to see the dancing but it felt so false, you know the voting and the remarks which are clearly the same every night with a matinee on saturdays as well.
Julian Clary was the funniest bit of the whole show. Also, Jodie kidd was not there that night as she had some family problems or something. That was a shame.
Anyway, It was one of my many xmas pressies from Scarface and it was a great pressie. Brilliant dresses and some great dancing. Also, the rugby player (cant remember his bloody name) got his thighs out from under his kilt.... i left smiling and happy
