Yay! Now the question is: How bad are the roads from Montrose....? Probably worse up there than it is down here, I bet! Fingers crossed, though....

Funnily enough, the day when most people aren't working 'cos of the snow, I'm back to work after a couple of months off sick

There are definite disadvantages to working from home

I built a snowman instead of going to work. No work for me today due to transport.

Thanks for the reminder Fi, am flying out tomorrow and hadn't really thought about the effect snow may have. It's not bad here at all (curse/advantage of living near the sea snow is a rarity, let alone it sticking) but that could change by 5am tomorrow x

Woke up to a shallow covering of snow and it's been snowing on and off all day, but it doesn't seem to get to more than about an inch before it starts to melt.

That hasn't stopped the undergrads having snowball fights though!

It's not the depth that counts, it's how long it goes without melting

It’s been going all day, It more frustrating that it doesn’t look like it will be stopping anytime soon… sometimes a quick flurry is better than being stuck inside waiting for it to finish.

If theres still enough snow tomorrow then i may continue building the rest of the family of the snowmen before heading to work if public transport is back to normal.

    Re: The big snow event

It occurred to me today, coming back from a lovely walk in the snow-covered park with Beo, that had Ceroc stuck to their original plans, we'd have been driving back from Southport today

    Re: The big snow event

After checking on the national rail website that a few trains are operating either as normal or with delays. According to the tfl website a few buses are operating as normal, so back to work for me today later. That means i'll have less time building the remaining family of snowmen
