First things first hope you are on the mend
Back on thread my luxury that I don’t know how I could live without is my IPod , This is assuming that this Desert Island has miraculously got electricity so that I can keep it charged because otherwise it would not be a lot of use. Oh and I must have conditioner for my hair that is necessity not a luxury
Am I allowed a dancer as my luxury item (with an ipod hidden about his person somewhere)?
I'd have a person (dancer would be better) / teddy bear, couldn't last without my cuddles...
Get well soon CJ
My luxury item - Kirsty Young
Facebook's scrabble.
Goggles.
The Brazilian female beach volleyball team... but if that doesn't count ( I so hope it would) then it would be my snorkeling gear if I was on a island.
A Star Trek Replicator.. and power supply to run it of course
My Terry Pratchett Collection and a dance partner
Recuperate quickly CJ

Other people are not a permitted luxury item! It's somewhat against the principle of being ALONE on the island.
You couldn't have snorkeling gear either - too practical.
The other week someone asked for an airplane, which they weren't allowed; I thought that was unusual because you couldn't use it to escape as there wouldn't be a runway... (It was a specific aircraft, like a 727, IIRC)
I thought my luxury item would be a computer with internet access, but that would be disallowed because I could email someone and get rescued.
So my luxury item would be a Steinway Grand piano.
How marvelous would it be when the rescue boat came to find me sitting at my piano, all black japanned and giving forth the strains of some Nat King Cole blues, in the sunshine on the beach.
