In your position it would normally be a choice between easier transport (Camber) or better venue layout (Southport).

As it is Ceroc's first time at Southport and looking at the poll (which I would take a close look at) that does exist, see link

    http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=17154

    I would veer towards Camber.

Another factor would be as Camber is first, if I liked it I might then try to swing Southport as well.

Have not been to Southport but it is being run by Ceroc this time for their first time.

If I am going for a Ceroc weekend, I would prefer the one that I can drive to in a couple of hours rather than about 6 from where I am. We have always had a brilliant time at Camber, just not quite as good as Somerset, which was outstanding

Lastly all my gang are going to Camber and we would all love to see you there (I might even do a drop on you),

If you can go to both then do both, My advice would be to go to as many different weekenders as possible as often as possible, they are all simply awesome.....

Two weekenders in two weeks is a big commitment - 4 days off work, and only 3 days to recover in between them.

Is anyone doing both this year?

Well...me and my inner gang are travelling there together, where we will meet the rest of the gang, who will then join the bigger gang on the blues room dance floor and get to see the entire gang over the whole weekend, owzat!

Marcusj you can be part of any of the gangs if you come...except the car gang, it would be a bit of a squash ..hopefully you choose Storm

I'm sure that these gangs will join forces and become one 'big gang' ... of which you (and everyone else) will be very welcome to join

Not Camber and Blush but, fingers crossed, I am doing Blush then Rockbottoms (well that's if I can find two lovely men to book on with me and my friend...) However Torquay isn't quite so far for me as Southport and doesn't have all night dancing so hopefully I won't need quite so much recovery time after that one

I hope there is no gang rivalry, I’d hate there to be a bloodbath. Maybe even a tango at dawn

PS I did not realise you were a big Gary Glitter fan

The only unknown, given the acrimony over the venue takeover and the fact it is Ceroc's first event there, is how well attended Blush will be. Camber will probably sell out, it usually does. ...

How well attended and the mix of attendees.

The same character with notable exception of Blaze (the Scottish weekender), Breeze being different to a lesser degree. It isn't clear if Blaze will happen this year so to some degree Blush etc. may substitute.

You know what you're getting at Ceroc Camber, but if you're into classes / workshops you know on recent form you're getting a very limited diet, with little technique (no Franck teaching lead follow), or diversity (little in the way of external teachers/other styles). Breeze has been moderately better, and Blaze vastly better.

If you're just into freestyle it may be good advice to go wherever is nearest / easiest to get to. Camber if you like the known mix of attendees / Blush if you're into musical diversity (3 vs 2 freestyle rooms).

I'm going to Camber with my son Jack - who started learning at the beginning of this year.

Both will be great, with the edge possibly on Southport because of the fab line-up, I would love to do both if I could but have opted for Camber because of the journey. Driving to Southport from the south coast on a Friday can take ALL DAY and has done on a couple of ocassions !!!! Anyway I'll be at Utopia on the Friday

    Re: Weekender help

It may have been up for a while, but creditably they now have schedules available for both events a month or so in advance while they are still bookable.

The Storm schedule is definitely better than recent Camber weekends.

You do get a DJ schedule at Blush which isn't posted for Storm, and 3 rather than 2 freestyle rooms, though it is probably necessary to like WCS freestyle to take full advantage.
