    January anti-blues music

I've been playing cheery music this morning, partly as an antidote to the cold and gloom of January. Wondered if others have fave tracks that lift the spirits? Some of this morning's include:

    - Ugly Bug Ball (Burl Ives)
    - Paris Walk (Clementine)
    - Lonely Teardrops (La Bamba)
    - Summertime Blues (Brian Setzer)
    - Don't Knock Love (Barbara Carr)
    - Rescue Me (Fontella Bass)
    - In These Shoes (Chantz)
    - I Love to Boogie (T Rex)
    - Bare Necessities
    - Champagne Taste (Eartha Kitt)
    - If I Knew Your Were Coming I'd have Baked A Cake (Bing Crosby)
    - Pink Panther Theme (Malibu Remix) - (Henry Mancini)
    - Wonderwall (Mike Flowers Pop)
    - Big Bad Handsome Man (Imelda May)
    - Soul Bossa Nova (Quincy Jones)
    - Collette Shows Him Le Ropes (Ratatouille soundtrack)
    - In The Summertime (Buckwheat Zydeco)

    Mr Blue Sky - ELO
Walking on Sunshine - Katrina and the waves
    Beautiful Day - U2
Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles

and getting away from the meteorological musical masterpieces

Sweet Home Alabama - Lynard Skynard
    Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
    Good Vibrations - Beach Boys

After all that you can't help but smile and brave at whatever the cold winter climate throws at us !

I'm flying to New Zealand for a couple of weeks.

Not a song, but a fact that definitely alleviates my winter blues.

    Re: January anti-blues music

Having just looked through my music collection I realised how downbeat most of the music I listen to is. It’s just as well I don’t suffer from depression because there’s not much there to cheer me up. Here is the best I could do

    Foolish – Tyler James
The Longest Time – Bill Joel
    Crazy – Gnarls Barkley
    Maneater – Hall & Oates
Sex & Drugs & Rock and Roll – Ian Dury and the Blockheads
    Pon de Replay – Rhianna
    That’s Entertainment – Jam
Get Down on it – Kool and the Gang
    Sex Machine – James Brown

I'm feeling more upbeat since playing these tracks so thanks for the idea
